The Guiness Book of Records unveiled a real life Popeye. Moustafa Ismail, 24, has become a record holder gaining the title of the world's largest biceps. Popeye has nothing on this guy.
Egyptian bodybuilder Moustafa Ismail's 31-inch biceps have been crowned the biggest in the world by the Guinness Book of World Records, with their circumference as big as a grown man's waist.
The bodybuilder, 24, has been pumping iron for 10 years and credits chicken - and not spinach - for his outrageous arm bulk. He said compliments from other body-builders helped him hone in on developing his biceps.
Moustafa, who lives with his wife Carolina, 30, started bodybuilding in a bid to keep fit. But after hitting the gym he received hundreds of compliments on his arms and decided to concentrate all of his efforts on making them even bigger. "My friends in the gym just couldn't believe how much my arms seem to grow so I began to really focus on getting bigger," he told The Sun.
Ismail moved his family from Egypt to Massachusetts five years ago so he would have better access to gym equipment, the newspaper said. When he's not working out he manages two local gas stations. "Working out makes my mood better. You're just focusing. And I like that in this type of sport you can see your improvement in your shape," he said.
Measuring an incredible 31 inches around, the Egyptian muscle man's bulging arms have the same circumference as a grown man's waist. And they've earned him a spot in the newest edition of the Guinness Book of World Records, which launched in London today.
